{ screen printing with lena }

I so loved Lena's Printing By Hand book that I jumped at the chance to take one of her screen printing classes.

We did a few different projects and for one of them I had a screen burned from a vintage French papercut of the eiffel tower. Some of the linework was lost in the burn but I think it gives the print a nice aged look. I printed the first batch on a beautiful oatmeal colored linen. I have a few ideas of what to do with it but I don't sew, so we'll see what happens.

Lena has new classes coming up in her lovely fort greene studio, see the schedule here.
